Alice's Big Night

Alice had the distinct honor of being invited to compete at the 2008 ECSCA Invitational Champion of Champions.  Alice was one of 20 top winning bitches in conformation from 2006 and 2007 (along with 20 top winning dogs) as determined by the ECSCA scoreboard final calculations for each year.  The competition was judged by four well-known mystery judges whose identities were not revealed until moments before judging.  While Alice didn't win that night, she will always be a Winner in our hearts.  Congratulations, Alice, on the great job you did of representing Winfree.  Below are some pictures from that memorable night.  It was, indeed, an honor.  The last competition was held in 2006 at the National in Sacramento, CA.  This year's National was held in Lancaster, PA.

What a nice early Christmas present from Alice and the judges at "The Beach Holiday Classic" breed shows at Virginia Beach.  At the back-to-back shows sponsored by the Tidewater Kennel Club of Virginia on December 16 and 17, 2006, Alice won Best of Breed both days!!!  Judging on the 16th was Mr. Stanley Saltzman and on the 17th was Mr. Jerry Clark.  Thanks so much to the judges and to Alice for continuing to make me proud.

Alice continues to represent our breed exquisitely.  She has won Best of Breed yet again; this time at the Old Dominion Kennel Club of Northern Virginia show.  The judge was Ms. Joy Brewster and the show date was October 1, 2006.  Our thanks to Judge Brewster.  This show was held at a new location--the historic Long Branch Farm in Millwood, VA, located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

It was a triple play in Raleigh, NC at the 2006 Labor Day shows!!  Alice went Best of Breed three days.  The show on Saturday, September 2, was sponsored by the Durham KC and the judge was Ms. Sandra Olsen.  Sunday's show was sponsored by the Salisbury KC and judging was David Markus.  The Raleigh KC was sponsor of Monday's show and the judge was Col. Jerry H. Weiss.  Alice also made the cut in the Group ring under Breeder Judge Bonnie Threlfall.  I'm very pleased to have Alice as part of Winfree and I thank her co-owner, Dr. Kim Martin, for letting me show her.

Alice has done it again!!!!  Best of Breed at the Annapolis Kennel Club show in Easton, MD on August 20.  Judging today was Mrs. Nancy Byrd.  Since winning her championship title in June, Alice has won three Best of Breed titles, a Group 4, and two Best of Opposite Sex titles.  What a show girl!!!!  And I'm proud to be handling her.

I am so excited!!!!  Our Alice went Best of Breed again!!!  This time it was at the Southern Maryland Kennel Club show in Bel Alton on June 30.  Judging the breed was Mr. W. Everett Dean, Jr.  I couldn't be more pleased.  Keep your eyes on this starlet!!!

Alice continues to show beautifully.  On June 24 at the Virginia Kennel Club show in Richmond, Judge Jeffrey Pepper gave her the Breed and Judge Mrs. Patricia Trotter gave her a Group 4!!!!  The next day, June 25, Alice won the Breed again, this time under Judge Mrs. Cindy Vogels.  Needless to say, we are thrilled with this young girl and the potential she consistently exhibits.

Stepping out as a new champion, at the Delaware County Kennel Club show on June 18, 2006, Alice won Best of Opposite Sex under Judge Allen Buckner.  This show was held in Kimberton, PA.

Meet Winfree's newest champion--Alice!!!!!  At just over a year old, Alice earned her title on June 3, 2006 at the Moore County Kennel Club show in Pinehurst, NC.  Judge W. Everett Dean, Jr. gave Alice Winners Bitch and Best of Winners for a 3-point major and her championship title.  Alice crossed over the next day to Best of Breed competition, with Mrs. Michele Billings judging, and went Best of Opposite Sex.

In March at just 11 months of age, Alice picked up her first points--a 4-point major!!  Now, three short months later, she has earned her title with three majors to her credit.  We're very excited to add this stunning girl to our family of Winfree champions!!!!  Keep watching Alice as she will now be shown in Best of Breed and Specialty competitions.

Oh my!!!  Alice has done it again!!  This time it was at the Chesapeake Virginia Dog Fanciers Association show on April 29, 2006.  Alice, entered in the Bred by Exhibitor class, went Winners Bitch > Best of Opposite Sex and picked up 2 more points.  The judge today was Mrs. Paula Nykeil.  Alice now has a total of 12 points, including 2 majors.

What a girl!!  At the Old Dominion KC of Northern Virginia show on April 22, 2006, Alice went Winners Bitch > Best of Winners in the Bred by Exhibitor class picking up 4 points and her second major.  Her point total is now 10.  Our thanks go to Judge Patricia Laurans for such an awesome win.

Alice is really showing beautifully.  At the Chesapeake KC of Maryland show in Prince Frederick on April 9, 2006, Alice went Winners Bitch under Judge Mrs. Cornelia Howard for one point, bringing her point total to six, including one major.  The show was held at the Calvert County Fairgrounds.  Keep watching as Alice hits the ring!!!

Alice picked up one point at the 2006 Spring Tarheel Cluster shows in Raleigh, NC.  Judging the March 26 show sponsored by the Fayetteville Kennel Club was Mrs. Patti Long Smith.  She gave Alice Winners Bitch for her win.  Still in the 9-12 Months Bitches class, Alice is showing beautifully.  Stay tuned.

What a WOW day!!!  Alice earned a 4-point major!!!  Showing to Judge Mrs. Beth Speich at the Maryland Sporting Dog Association show, she started by winning her class (9-12 Puppy Bitches).  She then went on to win Winners Bitch > Best of Winners > Best of Breed over two bitch specials!!!!!  Alice also was the first dog pulled in the adult group; however, she didn't place.  But what an accomplishment for this 11-month old puppy.  And if that weren't enough, she won Best Puppy AND Best Puppy in Show!!!!  WOW!!!  We are so thrilled.  Keep watching this little girl!!  The show was held at the Charles County Fairgrounds in LaPlata, MD on March 4, 2006.
