The
Orchid Island Dog Fanciers Club held a 3-day show on the Island of Hawaii
February 16-18, 2008. Terri called happy and excited to report
that Magic took the breed all 3 days and went on to a Group 1 on Sunday
under Judge was L.T. Haverstock from Canada, and a Group 4 on Monday under
Judge Norman Patton. This was Magic's first Group 1 and so far he
has 3 group placements this year. Way to go Magic and Terri!!!!!

| Starting 2008 in fine style, Magic took the Breed and a Group 3 at the West Oahu Kennel Club show in Ewa, Hawaii on January 19, 2008. Breed judge was Mrs. Christian Hubbell and the Group judge was Mr. Stephen Hubbell. |

| A two-day Windward Hawaiian Dog Fanciers Association show was held in Kaneohe on September 29 and 30, 2007. On the 29th, Magic went Best of Breed under Judge Mrs. Ann Hearn and was awarded a Group 4 under Judge Mrs. Sari Brewster Tietjen. On the 30th, Judge Mrs. Sari Brewster Tietjen gave Magic the breed. Way to go Team Hawaii!!! | ||

At back-to-back shows on September 1 and 2, 2007, Magic took the Breed both days under judges Robert Slay of Cary, NC and Patricia Trotter of Antioch, TN, respectively. The shows were sponsored by the Hawaiian Kennel Club and were held in the Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall in Honolulu. | ||
| More good news from the Island!! On March 3, 2007, Magic went Best of Breed at the Hawaiian Kennel Club show. Judge was Mr. Terry Stacy. And the next day, March 4, he again won the breed and got a Group 3 placement. Judging both the breed and the group was Mrs. Michele Billings. These shows were held at the Neal Blaisdell Center in Honolulu. Great job and congratulations, Terry. |

I am happy to report that our Magic got two group placements at the Orchid Island Dog Fanciers Club shows on February 17 & 18, 2007. On Saturday, the 17th, showing to Group Judge Maurice Tougas from Canada, Magic got a Group 2. On Sunday, he got a Group 4 under another Canadian Judge, Richard Lopaschuk. These shows were held at the Edith Kanaka'ole Multi-Purpose Stadium in Hilo, HI. I sure wish I could have been there!!! Way to go Magic and Terry!!!! | |

Say "Hello" to Winfree's newest champion--Magic!!! At the Chesapeake Dog Fanciers Association show on April 30, 2006, Magic went Winners Dog in the Bred by Exhibitor class for 2 points, securing his championship title. Judging today was Mrs. Loraine Boutwell. I'm so pleased to have finished Magic and have thoroughly enjoyed having him at Winfree. From here, he will go to live with his co-owner Terri Shigematsu in Hawaii. I sure will miss this boy. | |

The weather was perfect on April 9, 2006, at the Calvert County Fairgrounds in Prince Frederick, MD. Judging today was Mrs. Cornelia Howard. Judge Howard thrilled us by giving Magic Winners Dog>Best of Winners>Best of Opposite Sex for 2 points, bringing his point total to nine, including 1 major. At the Spring 2006 Tarheel Cluster shows in Raleigh, NC, Magic added two points to his point total. On March 26 showing to Judge Mrs. Patti Long Smith, Magic went Winners Dog>Best of Winners. This show was sponsored by the Fayetteville Kennel Club. His point total is now seven. Terry and I are both very excited about this young boy. Keep watching. | |

Magic has done it again!!!!! This little boy is awesome!!! At the Maryland Sporting Dog Association Show in LaPlata on March 4, 2006, Magic went first in the Bred By Exhibitor class, then Winners Dog>Best of Opposite Sex, picking up a 4-point major!!!! He then went on to win Best Bred By Exhibitor AND Best Bred by Exhibitor Group 4. Our thanks go to Judge Mrs. Beth Speich. What amazing wins for this 11 month-old puppy!!! The show was held at the Charles County Fairgrounds. Magic's point total is five. |

| The last weekend in January 2006, I took Magic to a 2-day fun match hosted by the Merrimac Dog Training Club in Hampton, VA. On Saturday, January 28, with Tina Parker-Craig judging, he was Best of Breed Adult and went on to win a Group 1. Thanks Tina. On Sunday, he was Best of Breed Adult again and then went on to win Best in Match Adult!!! Needless to say, Terry and I are thrilled. | ||

On November 13, 2005, showing to Judge Robert D. Ennis at the Mispillion Kennel Club show in Salisbury, MD, Magic was Reserve Winners Dog to the Major and Best Bred By Exhibitor. Then he went on as the youngest baby in the Bred-By group and received a Group 2!!! At 7 months of age, Terry and I are so proud of this baby. |
